Radar sensors

We develop radar technology that provides relevant information for the care and safety of residents in a facility. The sensors, strategically placed at specific points in the room, remain 'invisible' and are non-intrusive. In this way, the need for restraints in facilities is eliminated, promoting the autonomy and independence of residents.

Fall detection radar sensor

The radar fall detection solution ensures an immediate response upon activation of the fall alarm, enabling the monitoring and care of the elderly or dependents in a non-invasive manner. The integration of these devices with the CALAS software allows for the automatic detection of whether a person has suffered a fall.

Watch this video to see how the radar sensor unequivocally detects a person's fall, ensuring an immediate response as soon as the alarm protocol is activated.

Radar sensor Vital Signs and Bed Presence

The radar assistance sensor provides a real-time assessment of the well-being of elderly or dependent persons. Its integration with the CALAS software allows immediate access to data on the person's condition, whether they have left their bed, and how long they have been in it.

Discover through the video how the sensor recognises the vital signs of the resident and the time spent in bed or out of it.

Vital signs detection

Detects the recipient’s vital signs, heart rate, and respiratory rate.

Assessment of the individual

It monitors the person’s vital signs in real time and allows their progress to be tracked through daily and historical data.

Movement analysis

It monitors the time the person spends in and out of bed, as well as their body movements. This allows the quality of sleep to be analysed.

Automatic alarms

If any of the parameters received differ from those set for each user, an alert is sent to the healthcare team for a rapid response. Data such as not getting out of bed in the morning, taking a long time to return to bed, or getting up during the night are monitored.

FAQs Radar Sensors

What are radar sensors and how do they work?

Radar sensors are devices that detect movement and the presence of people in a given space. They can detect falls and assess a person's well-being by monitoring vital signs and identifying the person in bed, all in a non-intrusive manner. This eliminates the need for restraints in care homes, promoting residents' autonomy and independence.

What are the benefits of using radar sensors in social and healthcare centres?

Radar sensors offer multiple benefits, such as immediate detection of falls when the alarm is activated, data on the person's condition, whether they have left the bed and how long they have been in it, while respecting residents' privacy. They enable personalised care and improve the operational efficiency of the centre.

What type of data can radar sensors monitor?

Radar sensors can monitor various data, including vital signs such as pulse and respiratory rate, as well as the duration and frequency of bed occupancy. This information is crucial for assessing residents' well-being.

Are radar sensors difficult to install in a care centre?

No, installing radar sensors is generally straightforward and can be done in a short period of time, as ISECO technicians know exactly how to install them and where to place them. They are located at strategic points in rooms and bathrooms, and the system is integrated into the centre's software.

Are radar sensors effective in detecting falls in elderly people?

Yes, radar sensors are highly effective at detecting falls. They use advanced technology that quickly identifies whether a resident has fallen within the radar's range, triggering an alarm to ensure an immediate response from care home staff.
